Education Support Professionals (ESPs) are the heart of our educational system and are essential! Your Washington Education Association Action Coordinating Team (ACT) would like to invite you to participate in this year’s annual ACT ESP Conference. This is a free virtual event for all WEA ESP members.

The day will begin at 9:00am with a welcome and remarks from Debby Chandler, your ACT Chair, and Vallerie Fisher, your ACT Vice Chair and ESP Conference Subcommittee Chair. Also joining us will be WEA President, Larry Delaney, WEA Vice President, Janie White, with a special guest, our very own Pamella Johnson, 2023 NEA ESP of the Year, and Aneeka Ferrell, WEA's 2023 ESP of the Year. A staff member from WEA's Government Relations will join us and provide attendees a legislative update. Ms. Lois Yukna, president of the National Council of Education Support Professionals (NCESP), will drop in to bring greetings and an EA Executive Board member will visit, too. 

You will also meet your state ACT Committee members, have an opportunity to win a prize at the conclusion of our day together, and much more.

There will be a variety of course offerings to choose from, and we are certain that as a member of one of the job categories listed below, you will find something of interest.

  • Technical Services
  • Transportation Services

  • Food Services

The morning session will be Affinity Group training with a facilitated breakout. For the afternoon session, you will have the option to select a 3-hour course for a total of 6 training hours for the day. Both clock hours and a certificate will be available upon completion.

Breakfast and lunch will be on your own, and WEA members will receive information on how to voucher your meal(s) reimbursement. Your per diem allows $17 for breakfast and $21 for lunch. All documents and instructions must be followed, no exceptions.
